What You'll Learn
This class includes all training necessary to apply for a Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit. Upon successful completion of the class, student's will receive a certificate showing completion of a course that is required by the State of Louisiana.
Cancellation Policy: 1) All registrations must be completed 5 days prior to the scheduled class date unless other arrangements have been made. 2) If unable to attend the class, this amount paid can be applied to another class at another date. If the class is canceled, a refund can be requested in lieu of rescheduling. 3) A $50 deposit/cancellation fee will be retained by Penguin Firearms Training in the case of requested refunds other than refunds due to class cancellation by Penguin Firearms Training.
What We'll Teach
Women's Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals
With three distinct modules, this course is designed for those who are brand new to firearms and those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting.
Basics and fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and then built upon, while also exploring:
- Situational awareness
- Common types of handguns
- Ammunition types, malfunctions
- Firearms handling skills
- Defensive pistol fundamentals
- The use of deadly force
Whether you’ve never touched a firearm, you’re looking for the next steps in your training, or you’ve chosen to learn about the skills, tools, and mindset needed to use firearms for self-defense, you can be prepared to carry confidently every day with tips and techniques from experienced women in the world of firearms.
