Timothy Milligan

I am Tim Milligan the owner of T-M Firearms Training in southeast Iowa. I have been instructing shooters in firearms use for over 20 years. Starting out just helping out friends, family and fellow shooters on local ranges. Teaching shooting to others is today a passion and was in the beginning a hobby. After becoming a Correctional Officer I became a more serious personal defense and I began teaching fellow officers and helping them to meet the weapons qualification standards of the IDOC. In 2009 I opened T-M Firearms Training and began teaching defensive shooting and self defense on a professional level. Over the years I have been afforded the opportunity to train with some of the best trainers in the world. As a Senior Correctional Officer (Sergeant) at a maximum security penitentiary training requirements increased, I became a member of the penitentiary's emergency squad and served there for five years training with some of the best in the state. I maintained a professional firearms permit throughout my correctional career as a Senior Correctional Officer (now retired) and a Non-Professional Permit to Carry Weapons. Today as the owner of T-M Firearms Training I teach Shooting fundamentals and specialize in defensive shooting at many levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and I continue to expand my knowledge and experience by training with the best trainers in the world. I hold multiple certifications as a trainer in both public and private sectors and continue to add to them. Currently holding or have held certifications with the NRA, USCCA, and the IDOC as a instructor and Training Counselor with the USCCA. I am a 6th Dan in Bushi Tai Jutsu, a competitive shooter, and have personal experience in the Use of Force. I have Military, Law Enforcement and private sector training and experience. T-M Firearms Training offers classes for Safety and Shooting Fundamentals, Marksmanship, Concealed Carry, Home Defense, and Defensive Shooting Techniques and Skills.
