What You'll Learn
Officers learn how to respond to and care for trauma injuries using the M.A.R.C.H (Massive Hemorrhage, Airway, Respirations, Circulation, Hypothermia) acronym. Participants will learn the components of an IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) and how to apply them to save lives. Our training is focused on building two key objectives within the student, Knowledge and Skill. Learning is accomplished using classroom lectures (PPT) with text, videos, and instructor-led demonstrations. Students will apply their knowledge in "Instructional Labs" performing repetitions with hands-on exercises using the equipment within the IFAK.
This course will provide 8-hours of ILEA in-service training credits.
Our instructor cadre are active law enforcement officers certified to instruct courses of this nature with extensive medical experience.
