What You'll Learn
This training covers the second 8 hours of the required 16 to apply for the Illinois CCL. Illinois FOID and CCL laws, use of force (often covered by our States Attorney, Tom Gibbons), drawing from concealment and the qualification shoot are covered during this course. Prior honorably discharged military and others that have 8 hours of prior training credit can take just this course.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded. Students removed from class for unsafe behavior will not be refunded but will be able to retake the class at a later date.

If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Please do not bring loaded firearms into the classroom! We will provide a safe place to store your ammunition during the class. You will need to bring the following to class: A concealable pistol 50 rounds of ammunition Eye and ear protection A concealable holster Pen and paper for notes
