VEHICLE STRATEGIES AND TACTICS

Vehicle Strategies and Tactics (VEST) is a course designed to promote situational awareness, avoidance/escape strategies and defensive tactics to enhance personal safety. In our highly mobile society, we utilize our vehicles for work, running errands, and pleasure trips. Our society is also experiencing increased civil unrest and rising crime rates, especially of the crime of vehicular high jackings, commonly known as carjacking. Carjacking always involves violence, ranging from threats to homicides. Course participants are exposed to a variety of strategies designed to reduce vulnerability and introduced to defensive tactics should the use of force become necessary. VEST Addresses: Ø Our mobile lifestyle and security vulnerabilities Ø The importance of situational awareness Ø Avoidance, escape and defend tactics Ø Use of force and the law Ø Setting up an emergency “bail-out” bag Ø Concealed carry options and weapons manipulation inside the vehicle Ø Dry fire and live fire drills to develop pistol skills and proficiency
