What You'll Learn
Our 16 hour Illinois CCL Class satisfies the state training requirement to apply for your IL carry license. This class is designed to prepare you for carrying a firearm both legally and responsibly. Our informative, knowledgeable, and experienced instructors can answer your questions and help you feel more confident and better prepared for the next steps in the process.
This Class Covers:
Law Enforcement Interactions - Guidance on appropriate and lawful interaction with police while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm.
Firearm Safety - How to keep yourself and others safe when handling guns.
How to Shoot. - Sight alignment, sight picture, and stance.
Operation & Maintenance - Care, cleaning, loading, and unloading of a concealable firearm.
Legal Requirements - All applicable state & federal laws relating to the ownership, storage, carry, and transportation of firearms.
If a class is canceled for any reason, students have the option to reschedule for a later date. Students who do not wish to reschedule will be given a full refund. All classes require a minimum of 4 participants. If you register for a class that does not meet the minimum number of participants within 48 hours before the class date, the class will be canceled or rescheduled.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Requirements 1. You must be familiar with, and be able to safely operate, handguns before coming to this class. Not quite ready for that yet? sign up for our Basic Pistol Class. 2. You must show up on time each day. The state requires 16 complete hours of training. 3. You must be over 21. 4. You must have a valid FOID, State ID, or Driver's License. 5. Bring pen and paper. 6. Eye and ear protection (on range day) 7. 30 rounds of ammunition (on range day) 8. A firearm unloaded and in a case. We have rental guns available for a $10 fee if you do not own something suitable. (on range day)
