What You'll Learn
Illinois Concealed Carry Training will be hosting a 2 Day USCCA Certified Firearm Instructor's Academy.
The E-Learning module must be completed no later than 48 hours prior to the Start of your class. Day #1 and Day #2 will be from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M..
For our out of town guests we recommend the Holiday Inn Crestwood, Illinois.
We will cover the "Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals” textbook and the professionally developed PowerPoint presentation for use in your classes. The on-line training module must be completed prior to attending the live training session.
As a registered student of the class you will be sent an Instructor Toolkit upon successful completion of the class.
The live certification session consisting of classroom instruction, hands-on breakout sessions, and live-fire exercises. The live certification session covers the following topics:
Course Introduction and FAQs Instructor Mistakes Teaching Best Practices Managing a Safe Live Fire Range Live Fire Exercises Presenting the Student Multimedia Marketing Your Business Final Test and Review
Class space is limited to 6 students. Successful completion of phase 1 and 2 will earn you the right to be called a United States Concealed Carry Association Certified Instructor.
Your certification is approved to teach CCW classes in 36 states. You will be listed on the USCCA Instructor website and your classes will be searchable to prospective students. For More Details, Call Gary Carr at (708) 926-2524
Students who attend this class will be able to come in and audit any class (with prior notice) for one year. You will also have telephone support available and the ability to come in and co-teach to hone your teaching skills in order to help build your concealed carry business and maintain your USCCA certification.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals - Certified Instructor
Upon successfully completing this course, you will become a USCCA Certified Instructor uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.
This course has become the nation’s leading curriculum for law-abiding Americans seeking to obtain their concealed carry permit. When it comes to firearms fundamentals and concealed carry and home defense concepts, you will provide your students with high-quality material and help them understand the ‘why’ behind training concepts.
Class Preparation: You must complete the corresponding online learning course. (Automatically sent to you upon registering for the class.)
Day 1: you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics including:
- Top ten instructor mistakes and how to avoid them
- Teaching best practices
- Running a safe live fire range
Day 2: You’ll have a chance to:
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers
- Run a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire
