Austin Ahern

Austin Ahern is the primary instructor at One Point 5 Seconds, LLC and has a lifetime of shooting experience. He was introduced to shooting as a child and has been passionate about it ever since. Austin served in the U.S. Army Military Police and has continued training throughout the years. He divides his time at the range between pure accuracy practice and defensive shooting, and practices at least four times a week. Austin is an NRA and USCCA certified instructor and teaches Basic Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun, Concealed Carry, Defensive Shooting and Personal Protection courses. He is also a certified Chief Range Safety Officer.

Austin’s passion is working with normal, everyday people who are either just learning to shoot or are experienced but want to enhance their skill set. Courses are designed to help students develop good fundamentals for sport shooting, recreational shooting and self-defense. We won’t be learning to clear buildings or to shoot as part of a fire team, we focus on more practical skills. See class descriptions for more detailed information.
