Ray Hardy

Ray Hardy has won the NRA's Distinguished Expert Award in competitive shooting while in High school and was the commanding officer of his Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. After joining the Marine Corps he was meritoriously promoted to a non-commissioned officer and during the Persian Gulf War, he became a Sergeant in the Marine Corps most elite special operations unit at the time, 1st Force Recon. While in this unit he became a shooter in Force Recon's hostage rescue team where he twice got perfect scores on the close quarters combat (CQB) shooting qualification course. His training includes being a Recon Swimmer, SCUBA qualified, Static Line Parachute qualified, Military Freefall Parachute qualified, Breacher (explosives) qualified, and SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) qualified. Today he is a 4th degree black belt in the martial arts and is a gun safety and self-defense instructor.
