What You'll Learn
Class Description: The classroom portion of this class will be taught by USCCA Certified Instructor Shawn Sullivan.
Live fire of an operational firearm with live ammunition under the supervision of a Certified Instructor to verify safety and proficiency is required by state law. Live fire will be completed on a local range the day of the class and the address will be given during the classroom portion. Handguns and ammunition can be rented for this course for an additional $20. Payable in cash or through Venmo.
Curriculum Description: Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.
Successful completion of this course will result in students receiving a certificate that is accepted by the State of Florida for application for a Concealed Weapons Permit for residents of the State of Florida. Students will be closely monitored for attention and participation during the classroom portion. Failure to participate will result in failure of the course.
