Her husband, Hector (SGM US Army, Ret) taught her the basics of shooting and they enjoy shooting together. After a girl's night out at the range, she became interested in shooting with other women and sought out a national women's organization, The Well Armed Woman, and began the second chapter in Indiana and later became the TWAW Indiana State Leader. In November 2013, she became an NRA Certified Instructor qualified to teach the NRA Basic Pistol Course, the Personal Protection in the Home course and was certified as a TWAW Instructor. Later she added the Refuse to Be A Victim course Instructor qualification and NRA CRSO. Mrs. Rosario has also reached the Distinguished Expert certification in the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship program. In 2018, she earned the USCCA Training Counselor credential.
