Mike Keeley

Mr. Keeley retired from Scottsdale PD and now has over 40 years as a practitioner and/or teaching public safety professionals with a focus on all aspects of prevention, emergency preparedness, domestic violence, terrorist attacks, protecting a house of worship, and strategies to avoid workplace violence. We can customize training and strategies for personal protection, home defense, safety at work or in transit, and keeping our adult children safe while away at college.

Mr. Keeley provided leadership for Special Operations, Traffic Enforcement, Special Events, Crisis Negotiations, Media Relations, Street Crimes Unit, advocate to the Arizona State Legislature, and Chairman of the Workplace Security Task Force for 2000+ city employees (5 years). He provided oversight for security / safe transit needs of the Superbowl XXX Pittsburgh Steelers, Fiesta Bowls, Barrett Jackson, and Phoenix Open.

Mr. Keeley has provided technical assistance for Homeland Security for sixteen years through Texas A&M University after 9/11. In 2019, he wrote a template for response to Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attacks (CCTA) for the State of Texas under a federal grant. He has trained in many multicultural environments to include Native American Reservations, Puerto Rico, St. Croix, St. Thomas, Hawaii, Guam, and American Samoa. He provided technical assistance for States, Urban Areas - UASI; and DHS Transit Security Initiative and taught Jurisdictional Threat/Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Critical Asset Risk Management, Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience, Advanced Critical Infrastructure Protection, and Physical / Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure. Those classes focus upon understanding the nature of a threat, motivation, capabilities, assessing vulnerabilities and development of mitigation strategies.

Mr. Keeley is the President of Safer Solutions LLC in Safety Harbor, FL and a Past President for Scottsdale Leadership Inc., has a Bachelor’s in Justice Studies from Arizona State University and graduate Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command – Class President (Class 93). He is certified as a Firearms Instructor and specifically trained in Women's Handgun and Self Defense.
