My Biography

I love working with people at all stages of their personal safety journey, from those brand new to firearms all the way to those looking for a coach to help refine their shooting skills.
I am a homeschooling mama of 4 and especially enjoy working with women and moms who want to learn how to safely carry and protect themselves and their families.

My background is that of a firearm's competitor. I grew up in a family who loved to compete bullseye shooting competitions. So many things translate for me from that time to now, but feeling comfortable carrying in public and defending my family was not some of them. I had to as an adult seek out that training to teach me what I didn't know.

I love watching the light bulbs come on when my students, whether Instructor Candidates or beginner students, understand a concept for the first time. We should always challenge ourselves to continue our own personal safety journeys. We never stop learning. If you are in the FL panhandle area. I would love to work with you. If you are an IC, I would love to help you develop into an instructor who can safely and effectively communicate with your students. There are differences in the way we communicate information to women vs. men. Let me help you understand those differences so that your ladies walk away understanding exactly how this works for them and how to safely carry.

"I participated in a rigorous two-day course composed of mainly classroom instruction but also a live-fire range component in order to train me to be a concealed carry course instructor. Connie was first and foremost concerned about safety, from having us repeatedly examine demonstration handguns to ensure they were unloaded, to always making sure the muzzles were pointed in a safe direction, to emphasizing the four critical safety rules of gun handling, to promoting proper conduct at the range. I was especially impressed with how she carried a trauma first aid kit at the range and provided us with guidance for what to do in case there was a training accident. She inspired me to immediately order a IFAK as soon as I got home after class, so I could best take care of my own future students. Her teaching style was very interesting and engaging, always making sure that we learned all we needed to learn but also encouraging us to process the material and add to what we already knew so we could relate to it. We were provided with the opportunity to teach lessons so we could get a feeling for it, and received helpful evaluations. She provided lunch so we wouldn't have to leave, and the food was very good (awesome job on the pulled pork sandwiches with BBQ sauce, and coleslaw). We were given binders for taking notes. She gave us careful feedback and it was obvious she wasn't just going to "rubber stamp" her students to get them certified as instructors. Once the class was done she promptly reported this to the USCCA so we could begin using our back office resources and get started with further instruction, shopping in the special instructor store, and setting up classes to attract students. I don't have enough good things to say about Connie. I would be honored to have the opportunity to learn from her in the future, and I believe her course was worth every penny I paid. "
