What You'll Learn
In this class, the instructor will cover important legal topics, including the laws governing the legal use of force inside and outside the home. You are responsible and accountable for every action you take. This class is designed to inform individuals of the challenges faced when confronted with the decisions of having to use legal force in self-defense situations. This scenario packed class will push individuals to think critically in order to overcome the legal challenges that may present themselves in the dynamic environment that we live in. Topics covered in the class include the presentation of material designed to inform students on the differences between reasonable and deadly force, challenges in use of force continuum, and the courts perspective in the matter. Additionally, this class will review details from House Bill (HB) 543: Public Safety.
On April 3, 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis signed HB 543 which strengthens Floridians’ Second Amendment rights by allowing Floridians to carry concealed weapons without a government-issued permit. HB 543 goes into effect on July 1, 2023, making Florida the 26th state to enact Constitutional Carry legislation.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.
