What You'll Learn
This is an introductory course, designed for the new handgun owner or for anyone interested in practicing the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. This is an engaging, low-stress, hands-on class. You will learn:
*Handgun safety rules *Proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols *Ammunition knowledge and selection *Pistol selection and storage *Shooting fundamentals *Pistol inspection and maintenance *Marksmanship and shooting range safety
Additionally, students will complete live-fire training with an NRA Certified Instructor. The students may also choose to participate in a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range.
Students will receive the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the class will not be refunded.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident to act as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident.
Additional Notes from Your Instructor
We provide everything for you! All handguns, targets, ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection. If you have a personal handgun you want to use AFTER the course, you may bring it UNLOADED and in a case. You must provide your own ammunition for your personal firearm. For safety reasons, please do not bring any non-enrolled spectators. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and no low cut tops. Be sure to bring a notebook and pen to take notes. Pack a light lunch or snacks. Water will be provided. No drugs or alcohol allowed.
