What You'll Learn
"Tom is very knowledgeable and provides great insight on CCW training." - Dr. Jeffry Phillips, LAPD Commanding Officer
- Smaller class size so each client gets individual attention and feedback
- All training at the range, not a classroom, to learn advanced, realistic shooting skills beyond just passing the basic qualification.
- Skills taught include holster draw, how to shoot sooner without over confirming sights, rapid fire while still being defensively accurate, clearing malfunctions, one-handed shooting.
- Timed shooting drills to simulate shooting under pressure and taking your shooting ability to the next level.
Conducted in one day at Burro Canyon Shooting Park from 8:30am-4:30pm
Cancellation Policy: Due to high demand for our services and limited availability of the teaching facility, all payments are NON-REFUNDABLE but may be used towards another class, if notice of cancellation is given at least 72 hours before the scheduled lesson.
What We'll Teach
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This lesson will continue with the basics, including a very visual overview of what we call the “building blocks” or the fundamentals for accurate and safe shooting. Within this lesson, Michael Martin will explain the differences between the skills required for being a good “marksman” at the range, and the skills that might be required to save your life if you are ever the subject of a violent attack.

Our CCW training is not to teach you how to shoot, or vastly improve your accuracy. Our CCW training is to prepare you for the serious responsibility of carrying a gun in public. Our job is to teach you advanced shooting skills required for such a high responsibility, and record whether you pass or fail the standard proficiency requirements of your agency, with your current skills. The qualification standards are readily available from each agency and we can provide them to you before your training. If you have any doubt you can pass them in our CCW training, please make sure to book additional training with us before attending our CCW training.
