"After 1.5 unbelievably tough years (the deaths of 3 of my closest family members within a 4.2 month period, all 3 estates in 2 non-California states, 13 heirs, taxes, properties to sell, all falling on my shoulders), I finally was able to made it back to the range to shoot with the Armed Women of America's Sacramento Chapter. I'm so glad I did. Heather did a great job. Very down to earth yet professional, she did such a nice job of instructing the class, and her two assistants (her husband as well as RSO Cyndi T) were hands on, encouraging, and ready to provide additional support and instruction. Between the three of them, they brought 3 different firearms equipped with red-dot optics which all of us were able to test out; an incredibly beneficial experience. (So much better to actually USE the optics vs just read about them.) Exercises were done putting painters tape over the optics so we could truly understand the nature of how they worked, which also forced us to keep both eyes open to target which, sadly, is a skill I've not yet mastered. Other than to renew my CCW, this was my first foray back into ANY group setting to do anything for ME, in over a year and a half, and what a blessing Heather, the RSO's, and the other women of the class were. Mana for the soul, it was a great experience."
