What You'll Learn
The USCCA Instructor Certification course comprises both online training and two days in the classroom and includes discussions, lectures, hands-on breakout sessions, teach-backs, a live-fire exercise and shooting qualification.

What We'll Teach
Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals - Certified Instructor
Upon successfully completing this course, you will become a USCCA Certified Instructor uniquely authorized to teach the USCCA course, Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.
This course has become the nation’s leading curriculum for law-abiding Americans seeking to obtain their concealed carry permit. When it comes to firearms fundamentals and concealed carry and home defense concepts, you will provide your students with high-quality material and help them understand the ‘why’ behind training concepts.
Class Preparation: You must complete the corresponding online learning course. (Automatically sent to you upon registering for the class.)
Day 1: you’ll be taught by a USCCA Training Counselor on a number of valuable topics including:
- Top ten instructor mistakes and how to avoid them
- Teaching best practices
- Running a safe live fire range
Day 2: You’ll have a chance to:
- Demonstrate your knowledge of the USCCA training material through seven short presentations to a group of your peers
- Run a live fire range, guiding your peers through the safe completion of the USCCA course of fire

Additional Notes from Your Instructor
Attendance does not guarantee that you will be certified. If you do not meet the standards of the evaluations and practical exercises, you will be offered training and educational opportunities to help you complete the course successfully. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the course by training counselor Completion of the online e-learning Fluid firearms handling and safety Understanding of basic defensive firearms skills Required Equipment: Professional, instructor-type clothing. No ripped or torn jeans, ragged clothing, or sloppy appearance A notebook Pens and highlighters Eye and ear protection A quality defensive handgun (preferably in 9mm or better) 200 rounds of ammunition (minimum) A quality waist-mounted holster, made specifically for your handgun that can be concealed under clothing on a Strong Belt (No duty or competition belt rigs. no button release Serpa style holsters), 3 magazines, magazine pouches, or pockets to keep in 5-10 dummy rounds for your caliber gun Water and snacks, lunch (working lunch) Proper footwear and clothing for the classroom and range A positive attitude and the desire to become the best instructor possible.
