What You'll Learn

Concealed Carry Weapons Permit Course

Multi-Day Saturday 10-4p Sunday Noon-6pm

Successful completion of this two-day course allows students to apply for an Alaskan Concealed Handgun Permit. The classroom portion introduces the Alaska Use of Force Laws and the justifiable use of force for self-defense purposes. We will cover the statutes, their interpretation, and their application in case studies. We will also reinforce gun safety rules, proper handling techniques, and defensive pistol concepts. We will provide familiarization training on drawing from a strong side hip holster. The range portion will give students an opportunity to apply skills learned and it will include a formal shooting qualification test. There will be a written test at the end of class to evaluate the student’s overall understanding of the course.

POINT BLANK owns the only shooting simulator in the state of Alaska available to train civilians, private corporations, government agencies, and law enforcement.

Point Blank is implementing the Shooting Simulator into our Carry Concealed Course for Alaska. This will take your training to the next level~ Due to ammo shortage will will spend additional time on the Shooting simulator to help cut the cost down for ammo. For the State of Alaska you are requires you to shoot 20 rounds at the range for their qualification. We suggest bring one box of ammo. (50 rounds)

DURATION: 12 hours required by the State of Alaska COURSE FEE: $250

Point Blank is on the State of Alaska approved list for fingerprints and photo's for your CCW Permit ID. We bring in staff during a CCW class:

If needed : $45 for fingerprinting and photos. You can pay by credit card, paypal, cash or check.

REGISTRATION POLICIES & TERMS:

Cancelation: 50% of class/event fee is a non-refundable deposit. Refunds: Refunds for the balance of event fee. No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.

Class size is limited.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Cannot be a Convicted Felon

What you need to bring:

  • Firearm (Semi-automatic Pistol 9mm or larger)
  • 2 magazines (7+ round capacity)
  • Sturdy gun belt
  • Quality Polymer, Kydex, or other rigid material holster. Only strong side hip holsters allowed. Your holster MUST be gun specific and you MUST be able to re-holster one handed. The instructor has the final say on if the holster can be used in the course.

Appendix carry is not allowed. For safety reasons bra holsters, soft side collapsible holsters, cross draw, Serpa, ankle, off-body and behind-the-back holsters are NOT allowed. Only in advance classes. Contact us with questions.

  • Magazine pouch (Positioned on support hand side of gun belt)
  • 50 rounds of factory ammunition
  • Eye and hearing protection (electronic earmuffs preferred)
  • Snacks and something to drink during breaks

What to wear:

ATTIRE: Range appropriate attire: long pants, closed-toe shoes, high collared shirt. Brimmed ball caps recommended but not required. Additional information:

We will conduct a firearm and equipment check at the beginning of the class starting. Keep your firearm cased and unloaded and follow instructor directions to ensure everyone’s safety.

Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 72 hours in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 72 hours before the class will not be refunded.
