The Most Likely Conditions You Will Meet in a Firefight

I was wondering the comfort of two types of IWB holsters for those that have tried both. First, hybrid types with leather and Kydex such as Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe or Theis holsters vs the Kydex only such as JS Tuckable or the KytacBraveheart. I have to tuck at work. There are other Kydex only compnies out there also. How does the comfort compare between hybrids and Kydex only? As far as the Kydex only, I am talking about the minimal ones such as mentioned above, not Kydex only versions of the hybrids.

I’ve been thinking about getting a PF9. Pretty much made up my mind on it, but which finish? I’ve done a lot of research on this pistol but it’s harder to find info on the finish. I think I like the looks of the Parkerized better but that shouldn’t really matter for a concealed carry gun. I have read that the hard chrome might have a little better “fit and finish” but I was planning on sending the new gun back to Kel-Tec for their famous “fluff and buff” anyway. I live in Louisiana so sweat might be an issue with the blue or Parkerized but what about the hard chrome? How about reliability? Would the hard chrome finish be more durable or reliable for function over time, or am I thinking too much into this?

The 1993 NYCPD Firearms Discharge Assault Report by Deputy Inspector John C. Cerar reported that, “In 1993, 48% of all gunfights of a known distance occurred at 7 yards (21 feet) or less”.

The FBI’s annual Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted, provides the following figures that pertain to 1246 LEO’s feloniously killed by firearms nationwide between 1978 to 1994: inside 5-ft, 54%, inside 10-ft, 73%, inside 20-ft, 88% and inside 50-ft, 95%.

Think you’ll have time to sight in?
