The “Gunshine” State Rules Again And Everyone Will Benefit

I’m not sure about you, but I personally can’t take it anymore, so it’s time for a little rant and rave. If it’s okay with you, I’m going to stomp my feet and pound my glass on the table. I’m talking about the rhetoric from the anti-freedom, gun-grabbing idiots, their cohorts in congress, the liberal media establishment, and every local, anti-gun activist group that infects every municipality in this country.

I live in central Florida where the weed whackers of freedom have taken to attacking the latest anti-crime legislation (recently signed by Governor Bush) by pulling out all of their tired, failed, gun control arguments in an attempt to make law-abiding citizens look like vigilantes. We’ve been called everything from “trigger happy cowboys” to “stupid, gun-toting rednecks” down here.

For the first time in recent history, I can say that most of you reading this publication have the right to carry a concealed firearm, although there is still much work left to do for those of you who do not.

Let me remind everyone of this fact: Florida pioneered the “right to carry” legislation back in 1987 that has since rolled across the country, crushing the liberal fearmongers and their futile, anti-gun campaign like a giant paving machine. The streets have not ”run red with blood,” the predicted “Wild West shootouts” are still seen only in the movies (the good ones, at least), and the Brady Campaign has been forced to escalate its lying because the truth buries them at every twist and turn.

For the first time in recent history, I can say that most of you reading this publication have the right to carry a concealed firearm, although there is still much work left to do for those of you who do not. For those of you who live in states controlled by the slippery ilk of Lautenburg, Feinstein, and Schumer, et al., rest assured that freedom will eventually prevail and the will of the people will eventually bounce these radical kooks from office. Just be patient and vote. (Or move!)

Let’s get back to the new Florida legislation. For those of you who may be unaware, the “Gunshine State” yet again shines like a beacon of freedom that the rest of you will eventually benefit from. You see, we’ve taken yet another poke at the “leaches of liberalism” by (heaven forbid) protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens instead of cradling the criminal element of our society.

Effective in October of this year, Florida has expanded the “Castle Doctrine,” that age-old common law that says you don’t have to run away like a chicken nitwit when confronted by an intruder in your home before using deadly force. This doctrine now applies not only to your home, but also to your car and anywhere else that you have a right to be. It cements in law the presumption that an intruder in your house, your car or on the streets is there to do you great bodily harm and it allows you to meet force with force, including deadly force, to protect yourself without having to flee.

The new legislation gives us immunity from prosecution and civil lawsuits from the criminal and or his/her family if we cripple them or bury them while trying to harm us. Imagine that! We no longer have to fear losing our home or our net worth to that stupid idiot we see on TV saying, “My son didn’t deserve to be shot. He’s a good boy. Boo hoo hoo.”

We’ve all seen that mother of all morons on the news telling the subservient, sympathetic, elitist reporter that her son didn’t deserve to be shot in the chest for stuffing a stolen, 45 caliber pistol in the face of the father walking from the mall with his children. Well, now that same father doesn’t have to worry about spending the next 20 years in the slammer, renaming himself “J-Dawg,” covering himself in prison tats with his new gang logo in order to survive…Nope, that fate now rests squarely where it belongs, with the criminal.

That’s right. Here in Florida, that moron on TV will now be preaching to the choir, as the law stands firmly behind the victim instead of that “good boy” who was shot while robbing one of us. The law now says that this ”delinquent dirtball” got exactly what he deserved. Thank God for common sense legislation and Governor Bush!

Never forget that we are dealing with hypocrites who will stop at nothing to disarm you, while their children are protected by armed, security guards.

What these ”gun control gonads” will now witness over the coming months and years is a steady, continuous reduction of an already falling crime rate, as their failed arguments blow up in their faces. They will witness similar legislation pass nationwide, with a domino effect and they will find themselves once again, on the trash heap of failure. Don’t rest easily though folks, for these are the same simpletons that want to force-feed us the gun laws of Chicago and DC, the same laws that result in the highest murder rates in America, year after year. Keep in mind that these zealots are like a bad case of genital warts that no amount of medicine will cure, but merely keep them at bay for a while, until they decide where to break out next.

Make no mistake dear reader. These people will stop at nothing to take away your God-given right to self-defense and will knowingly trample the Constitution to achieve that goal. These are the same people who call you an extremist for simply owning a gun and they think that you are a “stupid redneck” for spending the afternoon with your kids at a local, weekend gun show. Never forget that we are dealing with hypocrites who will stop at nothing to disarm you, while their children are protected by armed, security guards. Fortunately for all of us, Florida has stuffed another cork in the bottle of gun control and shifted the rights from the criminal back to the victim, where they belong.
