Yuuup! Everyone has a blog. So the goal will be to make this one relevant. Into the Fray comes to you with the goal of providing insight and information about self-defense and the battle to protect our gun rights. You will get both facts and opinion. All of it backed up with a healthy dose of attitude. I’m not going to sit here and spout off about my credentials. I’ve been doing this long enough to know I don’t know everything. We all have a lot to learn and every situation is different and dynamic. If you can’t come at this with an open mind, well, then you don’t need to be here. Many of the concepts of self-defense are subjective. What works for me may not work for you, but knowledge is power. The more you know the better off you are. Let’s start with a look at something:
Elderly Patron Foils Robbery
An elderly patron of an Internet cafe in Florida used his legally concealed handgun to fight off a pair of armed robbers. The events were captured on a surveillance camera inside the cafe. As you can see, as soon as the man started fighting back the robbers fled.
Perhaps you’ve seen this video of an elderly man at an Internet cafe in Florida. This is what preparation looks like. This is what willingness to get into the fight looks like. Notice that we don’t care about his shooting stance or the caliber of his pistol. We just know that this man took the fight to his attackers. He refused to be a victim. He got into the fray. Remember, the root word of gunfight is fight, not gun. What would you do?
